This story was produced for the german issue of "Men's Health" magazine in may 2008. It illustrates a workout that is part of the training program of the german national water polo team. The main idea was to show the different aspects of the sport happening over and under the water surface. The models were members of the german national water polo team. Because of the optical enlargement effect under water, we had to shoot each picture in at least two parts and puzzle them together later.
The pictures were shot in Berlin by Rasmus Kaessmann, postproduction was done by Fabian Kern. The text was written by Oliver Bertram and the workout illustrations were provided by John Oliver Doerksen.

As you can see the photographed images ended up very close to the ideas i scribbled before the shooting.
